Traffic exchanges have been popular for decades because they are known as a quick, easy way to get traffic to your website without a lot of fuss.
The problem is that most people who use traffic exchanges get poor results because they are not adjusting their marketing style to suit the traffic exchange scene.
Remember, your goal is not only to get HITS but to get visitors to take action when they see your site.
Here are 3 traffic exchange tips that get results…
Traffic Exchange Tip 1. “Promote You First” - In other words, build a list!
Most marketers simply get their affiliate link and add it to the system and hope for the best. There are many problems with doing this!
First, the site you promote is probably not designed for traffic exchanges so conversions will be super low.
The biggest problem however, is that once the traffic clicks away, they are gone and probably won’t see your affiliate site ever again!
However, if you have a very small high-impact page that fits on the screen (so they don’t have to scroll) that entices your visitor to click away or opt-in to your list, you have a better chance of making money and keeping that traffic!
Plus, if you can build a list, they will get to know you and like you if you treat your subscribers right so the chances they will buy something from you in the future increases.
So, promote you and be somebody, because being a faceless no-body will get you no-where.
Traffic Exchange Tip 2. “Don’t ONLY Surf!” - Use Banner and/or Text Ad Exchanges Too!
Most good traffic exchange sites will have a banner and text ad exchange system built in which serves as another great way to advertise your sites.
These banner/text ad exchanges work in a similar way to the traffic exchange system. You earn credits for your banners to be displayed when you display other peoples banners on your site or blog.
Don’t worry, it’s all fully automated. Just a quick copy and paste job of some short code you can find in your traffic exchange account and it will rotate the display of banners that are in the system.
Just remember that you need to add YOUR banners to the system that promote your website so they can be displayed on other member’s websites with the credits you earn from displaying theirs.
Traffic Exchange Tip 3. “Build Your Downline” - So They Earn Credits For You!
Most good traffic exchanges have a referral program that will let you earn credits from your referrals surfing efforts and even make money from purchases your referrals make!
Usually, the rate of credits you get from your referrals’ surfing is 10%. This means if you refer one member and they earn 100 credits, you will earn 10 credits automatically.
10% might not seem like much but when you have 50 or 100 active people in your downline, your credits really add up! This is the easiest way to earn ongoing credits for work you did once.
